Mayahotels serving hospitality through Chandigarh and Jalandhar in Punjab. The Punjab hospitality industries severely lacked a hotel group catering to mid price segment traveler. In the early eighties-a group with the capability and the expertise to go beyond the norms on offer, a group incorporating an uncompromising respect for travelers coupled with a strong focus on the proverbial bottom line-price, a group with continued development of employee and an intricate understanding of the needs of Indian guests was conceptualize by Mr.Jaswant Singh Sachdeva, MD of Maya Hotels India.

He set up G.J.Hotels Pvt.Ltd.in the year 1983-84 with the technical support of his two young sons and acquired Hotel Maya Palace at Chandigarh. He further expanded by setting up another The Maya Hotel at Jalandhar under Maya Inns Ltd in the year 2000. The group has also interest in coconut farming and trading (parent business) in a remote place called Sompeta in Andhra Pradesh,a southern India State. Maya Kingdom, luxury & deluxe  hotel is expected to ready by October 2009 at Hyderabad,01km away from new international airport.

Mr. Surinder Jeet Singh, Executive Director, commerce graduate having keen interest in IT segment started Maya Software Technologies (MST) in the year 1993. MST provides solutions for budget hotels automations as per their needs and resources. He takes care of financial, business and IT matters for the group. Mr.Bikram Jeet Singh, Director, science graduate and Hotel Management graduate takes care of business operation.
